Where can I find a local (not online) store in Michigan that sells bowling shoes?
I'm looking for a cheap pair of bowling shoes so I don't have to keep paying rental prices.
I got my bowling shoes at Meijer, they're pretty plain, standard white Dexter bowling shoes for 29.99 regular every-day price. Sometimes they go on sale for 30% off, you'd just have to check the ad.
Another good, discount place would be Dunham's Sporting Goods... they're a little less organized and less glamourous than Sports Authority or Dick's, so the prices tend to be lower. Just do a Yahoo search for Dunham's to find the location nearest to you.
Finally, some bowling alley pro shops sometimes sell used or discontinued shoes, but they'll probably be either worn out or overpriced. But if you're looking for glitzy or more colorful shoes to stand out when you bowl, the pro shop in any bowling alley will either have a nice selection or have the ability to order any kind of bowling shoes you want.
You'll hopefully be able to find something in the 19.99-29.99 range from these options... anything more would mean higher-quality, but you'd only need higher-quality if you were in a serious league or something like that.
